Maybe it's time we need more armed guards or more open carry permits.

this is one of the most scary thoughts I can think of, but it might be necessary. And add to that, maybe metel detectors as well.

Time for virtual schools and online classes.

Everytime a criminal act is committed, society restricts the rights of everyone else.

We have come to learn restricting freedom does not solve every situation.

Until a viable solution is prosoed, armed adults at schools would indeed give best chance for survival.

Sometimes companies will search to change their cultures. Doubt they really want to, just so they can say they care.

To get a glimpse of a company's culture or a country's, look at the observable behaviors and consider, any problem seen, has its origin one level up the heirarchy.

ultimately the boss in our case are the collective voters/citizens.

The violence we see is in the heart of humans. Beyond passing a few laws there is a point of diminishing return. To continue to pass ineffective law is how we now approach this cultural problem.

Your ASSumption is that armed teacher won't work....
Nope. Didn't even think of the teachers -- teachers are in the class room.

Was just addressing the armed guard at the front door.

They were scared dad would beat their ass.

You cannot make up your own scenario as you go along when someone throws in a kink....

Yes I can - -it's all pretend. You can't tell me what to pretend or not. And we were talking about armed guards at the front door. That's all I have to address.

If you think armed teachers would save the world -- doesn't matter -- that armed guard is still dead -- oh and the thousands of kids walking into school too. Teachers are still in their break room or classroom.

Most mass shooters do not expect to survive the shoot. Their death is a part of the plan.

The Texas school had armed SROs. The shooter was a student at the school. He knew there were armed SROs.

Did not stop him from entering the school with guns under his Columbine style coat in 90 degree weather with guns, ammunition and bombs. Did not stop him from shooting 20 people.

The vast majority of these kids have the exact same profile. A loner that constantly gets picked on.

"He wears a trenchcoat every day, and it's like 90 degrees out here," Severin said.

Pagourtzis, Severin added, was the victim of bullying — and not just by other students.
