But the minute the SCOTUS came down on the side of the bakery, I knew eventually things like this were going to happen. It just happened a lot sooner and to a much more high-profile individual than I expected.
I'd bet the same people who support the Red Hen for kicking Sarah Sanders out are the very same people who demanded bakeries must bake custom cakes for gay couples despite religious objections.
I suppose denying someone service based on who they are and what they believe only applies in certain circumstances.
Nope, not me. I always said you have the right to refuse service to anyone, and it should remain that way. Why would anyone want to eat somewhere where they are not wanted? If I knew someone denied someone service because of their race I would never set foot in there again.
The Red Hen is going to initially lose business over this, but in the end, they will gain more new customers than those they lost, as well as gain the respect of thinking people. It's addition by subtraction, if you are upset over Sanders being asked to leave, the restaurant is better off without you in it.
The hypocrisy of the right supporting a baker from Colorado but not a restaurant owner from VA.
I guess the right only cares about freedom of speech when it suits their purpose.
Kinda like being Pro life except for when it comes to the death penalty, or not supporting kids health programs after forcing these unwanted babies to be born
Denying service to someone for being themselves is discrimination. Denying service to someone for being a horrible human being is karma.
As defined by your personal hang-ups, which you and your supposedly-high-minded friends seek to force upon everybody else by incorporating them into law, and harnessing the state's legal monopoly on coercion to do your bidding.
You are living proof that behind every Social Justice Warrior lies the mindset of a Fascist.
My DD is a business owner, a pretty successful one. Her strict rule is, "No political talk or opinions on the premises." By the employees (and family), that is. But she gets customers who out of the blue spout off political rhetoric, some contrary to her own, others that she agrees with (she's an avid Trump voter and supporter who hated Hillary and Obama). She just smiles and keeps her mouth shut, or makes a noncommittal comment if a response is expected...all while ringing up their purchases. She's the same way with customers who are very religious and bring up Jesus. quote scripture to her, or ask if she's a Christian. She's a hard core atheist, but she'll smile or vaguely nod, or say nothing. Customers are NEVER to be offended.
She feels politics and religion have no place in business.

The gay couple targeted the bakery based on his religious beliefs in order to make a point. I doubt the Sanders party had any notion that the owner was such a rabid anti-Trumper. Too bad they didn't see this pic of the family - all wearing their pink pu**** hats.
What will God say when you stand at the gates of heaven on judgement day? He is the only real judge.
So you’re judging me for judging others based on their actions? Of course you missed the irony.
