The pick was always going to be a bland one with little to get worked up over . Trump and the GOP aren't going to risk losing getting a confirmation before the midterms trying to push a hardliner through , and take a chance on having to face a Dem Senate on the next nominee. This one had to get past Murkowski and Collins on the GOP side to ensure they didn't need any Dems to cross over .

Looks like Trump finally listen to advice .

I don't know how many times you have to tell Trump supporters that Trump picked Kavanaugh to protect himself, which is why he chose the judge that doesn't best represent The Heritage Foundation's wants.
How's Kavanaugh supposed to protect Trump? The House initiates impeachment proceedings, the Senate oversees impeachment proceedings and all Kavanaugh will be doing is watching it on the news like the rest of us.

And Dems can forget their dreams of retaking the Senate...https://www.axios.com/poll-democrats...b814d9dd7.html

Ya, makes sense... the court is not supposed to be activist. It looks like he understood that and nominated accordingly.

True, ... it's obvious that he's getting his education and repeating what he hears on liberal media.

Of those you'd expect to oppose the pick, who 'seems' to be ok with it ? Planned Parenthood and other abortion lobbying groups already oppose him. The AFL-CIO opposes him. NAACP against him. Human Rights Campaign

You think they and others won't fight this pick as hard as they'd have fought Barrett's nomination ?

He’s just an “aide” ...

It’s like when they call Trump a “former reality tv guy “

Pregnant, illegal teenager should not be allowed to have an abortion. That says it all about him.

Someone will always oppose. It is impossible to appease everyone.

It looks like its a pick who most people are ok with. You would think that is a good thing, but people like you insist there is something wrong because people are not rioting on the streets as predicted by the alt-right.

Which is it?

Key question during confirmation hearings: "Mr. Kavanaugh, do you believe the president is above the law or not?"
Kavanaugh is for the constitution, and the impeachment process is part of the constitution.
Impeachment should come prior to criminal action.
That is, the President should only be charged after he's removed from office.
