So instead of paying $125K for a Mercedes S-Classe, you can get a Cadillac or a Tesla instead.

Why are the leftists mad about this?

Explain how either tariffs benefit the American consumer.

There's your mistake. We need an economy based on production, not consumption. The latter, forced on us by the globalists, has completely failed the American worker.

They you don’t want a free market. How anti-American.

Outside of fairy tales and communist countries, economies are demand-based.

You sound just like a good socialist, trying to steer people to purchase something not because that's what they want, but because you think it would be preferable for society.

Who's “we?”

Who are “you” to decide in which type of voluntary exchanges of goods and services people participate?

Why are you anti-capitalist?

LAWL.

Democrats & Leftists are good at the personal attack when they can't argue logic & fact.

Lose mind when asked to explain why buying an American built Tesla vs a German Built Mercedes is bad.

Somebody needs a lesson on basic economics.

You can't have production without consumption. If you produce something and there are no consumers, the people doing the producing will have to stop producing, because nobody is buying what they're producing, and they are losing money doing all that producing. And once they stop producing, all those employees doing the producing will be laid off.

It's unfathomable I even have to explain that!
