They really do need to look into thinning the forests that are prone to fire, which would create lots of tangible lumber jobs.
With the shortage of lumber that business and construction firms had to deal, it would be a good time for the federal government look into thinning fire-prone forests.
This is going on far to long and it's partly because of the radical left and it's environmentalist agenda.
I wish he gave as much thought about what happens every summer in Florida when the toxic algae comes along.
Please keep it up Donald, don't change. 2020 is coming and that map is going to be MUCH more favorable to democrats. Don't change you big, stupid, loudmouth, retard they are counting on you continuing to make an ass of yourself for another 2 years. The fatigue by then will be epic, especially when your economic policies overheat and ultimately crash the economy.
From what I have read -- The areas burning in Southern California aren't even forests. It's chaparral and coastal sage scrub. But even if it is poor forest management -- which is debatable -- what a callous, heartless comment at a time when Americans are in danger and losing everything they have.
Poor forest management isn't debatable.
Many areas designated forests don't have that many trees, just a lot of tall shrubs and brush. My first trip I saw signs 'Welcome to ______Forest' and wondered, Where is it?
Feeeeeelllings are so important to virtue signalling Dems. They always talk a good game, don't they? Then do nothing.
Meanwhile Trump has authorized plenty of FEMA cash. But he is right. I think regulations for rebuilding in fire zones should be very strict. California loves regulating residents to death so I'm surprised they haven't done it already. States in hurricane zones should do the same. We saw in Florida how the newer buildings with tighter building codes survived.
California wastes firefighting money by combating fires in the middle of nowhere instead of letting them burn out, only keeping an eye on the perimeter if it gets too close to houses. It's nature's way of regeneration. Many seeds have to be burned so they can germinate.

Sure and all the back water FEMA flood victims should have strict regulations on rebuilding as well. Please enlighten us on what codes could help keep a home safe from a wild fire.
By all means, add more regulations on what people can do with their lands. Maybe you can add some more Patriot act type regulations as well, since you know the party of small government has no issue so long as they can say "'merica".
Hey, maybe you can divert more money from forestry services to farmers your dear leader ****ed in his trade war! That will fix it!

He's not right because he's not talking about what you're talking about.
LOL...the suggestion that Trump would consider regulating building in rural communities. LOL...
I agree with you that there needs to be more regulation in how we live on this planet, and sprawl is not a positive in many different ways - its resulting fire danger being one.
Also, some fires are left to burn and are managed in a pretty hands-off ways. That said, many fires threaten rural communities, and when people's lives/property are on the line, they are fought. It's debatable on whether this is "wasted money" or not, considering the risks of living in these places. But go ahead and tell that to someone living through one of these fires...I sure wouldn't say that.
Our tyrannical leader Agolf Twittler is off on another rant today. If there were forest fires today in a red state would he be more compassionate?
