I can't see any SCOTUS, including this one, upholding a law like that.

Those legislatures must not have an independent legislative counsel to tell them - you can't do that.

Both Kansas and AZ have lost on this issue, I don't see this even going beyond the district courts.
I thought NY was the only state because of the large Jewish community. strange that they have this law in common with TX.

Don't support our Texas trading partners, you don't get to work for the State that trades with them.
That is only fair. Miserable combative employees, don't do the company, organization, or agency any good.

In Texas, it is not based upon religion what so ever. It is done for safe unconflicted trade between the States. If you don't support the States trading partners, you cannot work for the state to avoid conflict.
It is not a right to work for government. It is actually a privilege to serve the public.
Her argument is based upon religion, and she is not shy about her hatred.

Why can't something like this happen to me? I'd love to retire on the settlement.

Authoritarians believe in this type of thing...at least until paid not too. I promise you that Texas asked Amazon to move there despite the fact that Amazon sells lots of Islamic and Chinese stuff.

Anytime they can dump on a muslim in Texas, they will do so.

You can bet they won't have Apple sign this. Why? Simple - they prey only on the weak.

The Israeli lobby is strong enough to have this inserted in many states....looks like it is losing in court, tho, as it should.

Who could have ever imagined that people would be FORCED, at the risk of their jobs, to do stuff like this? Truly amazing.

According to the OP’s second link:

26 states have enacted similar law

13 states have legislation pending

Bizarro, eh.

This is the kind of Republican that I have no use for. This violates people's Constitutional rights, and has now cost this lady, who has done nothing wrong, her job. If she wants to boycott products from Israel, what fricken business is that of the U.S. government? It's NOT their damn business!
26 states have a similar law and 13 more have pending legislation.

It does not seem to matter which wY state politics lean.

There has to be common lobbies pushing this at the state level.

Nope, All of Texas.
Don't you live in Dallas?
Abbott is on the local news tonight. He is saying he didn't know school districts had this for individuals and he was looking into it. It is meant for the school as a whole, not the individuals that work there.

I'm pretty sure it was the individual school districts attorneys, that did this, to cover the school districts ass with the state, should an individual employee freakout on Israel.
