I personally am not "anti-Israel."

In fact, there are many things I admire about the nation and its ability to survive despite being threatened on all sides.

However, this whole thing rubs me wrong. And a couple of important things to remember. Not supporting Israel isn't necessarily being anti-semitic. And Muslims hardly have a monopoly on not supporting Israel.

I would feel the same if there was some stupid rule that in order to sign a job contract, you have to support radical Islamist groups that kill and maim many people around the world.

Is this real?! Why does she have to swear oath for any foreign country?!

Israelis have persecuted and killed innocent Palestinians and Christian Arabs for decades. Not all Palestinians are Muslims!

There is a federal bill pending that will make it a crime to boycott Israel.
BDS is the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel.
Quote:
Opposition to B.D.S. is widespread and strong. Alarmingly, in the United States, support for the movement is in the process of being outlawed. As of now, 24 states have enacted legislation that in some way allows the state to punish those who openly engage in or advocate B.D.S., and similar legislation is pending in 12 more states. At the federal level, a bill called the Israel Anti-Boycott Act would criminalize adherence to any boycott of Israel called for by an international agency (like the United Nations). The bill has garnered 57 Senate co-sponsors and 290 House co-sponsors, and may very well come up for a vote soon.

Here's the lawsuit:

Here's Glenn Greenwold's article on it:

Read it all.

I'd love to hear what others have to say about this.

I started seeing this "oath" from vendors contracting services from my former employer. Government agencies, mainly. They expected the vendors (us) to sign a waiver saying we didn't boycott Israel and another saying something about not doing business with Iran. The individual that reads contracts at my former job sent to me to confirm she was seeing what she thought she was seeing.

Christian fundies think that Zionism is the key to unleashing the End Times and bringing back Jesus. Governments that are controlled by Christian fundies (like Texas) pass bull**** laws like this.

Texas is not mentioned in there complaint. Only the school district.
By denying herself to renew her contract by not agreeing to the scope of the new contract, since her old one had been fulfilled.

Do you understand contract law as opposed to employee?
Have you ever been self employed and had to draw up a sub-contract?
