Guess what? At the end of the year, the Obama era domestic spending comes to a halt. $55 billion in domestic spending gets sequestered unless trump reauthorizes the spending. So, for liberals to get that money released, they will have to fund the wall. Or $55 billion in domestic spending gets sequestered. Safe bet AOC and her socialist cabal will become completely unglued if that happens.

Trump may be the worst deal maker ever. This is like the time he gave away the joint U.S. - S Korean readiness exercises for nothing in return. Somebody should tell him you don't dicker by losing every round. The way things are going, he might wind up getting nothing at all. Then he'll have to deal with the fascist talking heads calling him a sell-out.
It's almost like the GOP wants to embarrass their own president in the most poignant way possible, by giving him a pittance of what he requested and making sure none of it can be spent on a wall. Now that is delicious.
That could very well be the case.
What a crushing defeat for Donald Trump this would be. His two biggest campaign promises were repeal and replace Obamacare and to build a big beautiful border wall, and he will have failed to deliver both.
Obamacare is alive and well, and it looks like Trump will end up getting a mere 55 miles of border FENCE.
I can see the Ann Coulter's of the world (who have been the voice of conservatives for decades before Trump showed up) ripping Donny a new one if this is what he settles for.
Right -- take a few pictures of a wall segment and just tell them that it is a done deal. They will never know.
A fence is better than a wall, anyway. People will tunnel under both but a fence is cheaper. Only a moron would want to spend that kind of money on an ineffective wall.
Trump people brag on the wall in Israel. When the Israelis built their wall the Palestinians stole sections of it for scrap metal and made weapons.
And yet Israel is still building walls. Why? Because they obviously work.
