How come he doesn't threaten to pull aid to Texas for flooding from Hurricane do to very poor development planning. Or Florida where the damage from the hurricane in the pan handle was exacerbated because fo substandard building code. Oh thats right. he counts on those states for votes.
What I think he’s thinking: He’ll punish people in Pelosi’s state to try to force her to give in to his blackmail.
I suspect that if his businesses weren’t based in NY, he’d be trying similar BS there as well.
Trump's reasoning for this has absolutely no merit and has been continually debunked by fire fighting experts. Make no mistake that this is really a blatant pressure move on Pelosi and the CA senators relating to the shutdown. It is nothing short of reprehensible to withhold FEMA funds from people that lost their homes due to fires out of their control. Trump is truly a despicable and horrible person. He keeps going lower and lower with each passing day. He has no human decency and no shame.
Perhaps California can impound any and all of Trump's property in California to cover the missing FEMA money. Then other states can follow suit for whatever stunt he tries to pull next.
That's assuming all the gaudy junk wearing Two-Scoop's pilfered coat of arms is actually the property of him or of companies he controls. Which is pretty damn doubtful.
Anybody who thinks this is 'okay' for Trump to do might want to have a long hard think about what threats he might make to *your* home if something about it ticks him off.
If Pelosi wants these funds for her state (we already give California enough money same with NY and NJ) she can agree to the wall and reopen the government.
Several past fires have been set by illegal immigrants btw.....
If you are going to make a generalization such as "we already give enough money to to CA, NY and NJ" please be prepared to back that up with statistics.
Because I believe that is not correct. NY, CA and NJ give the country too much money in tax revenue and contributions to the economy. How about those twisters that come through the south every spring, and the Texas floods?
When Alabama, Mississippi or Missouri are hit by tornadoes--do we help? Do we give those states money and help the residents? How much do those states contribute?
BTW, would you like to wager money that many more fires have been set by Americans born in this country than illegal aliens?
Get rid of FEMA and let the states handle it. Problem solved.

I couldn't agree more. Let the states handle it. The federal government needs to stop collecting massive taxes from people... and let the states collect the taxes to cover these programs at a state level.
