How do you propose we divide up the beneficiaries of the federal tax dollars spent on that road. Clearly the conga line of trucks traveling over it from coast to coast are a benefit for the economies of California and NY.

For one, forest management is something that can realistically be accomplished, whereas retroactively changing building codes, tearing down buildings, and rezoning entire cities is obviously not practical.
More to the point, this is yet another example of how democrats and the press try and manipulate voters into believing *everything* is Trump's fault, when in fact, democrats take responsibility for these issues as well. A reasonable solution to the FEMA funding issue is for Newsom to work with Trump on improving forest management, and in return, Trump should dial back the threats and keep the money flowing. That's called compromise.
