The usual suspects are having a hard time with their TDS today.
They just can't fathom President Trump winning. MAGA!!!
He hasn't won anything. You think that wall is going up tomorrow? LOL. It's not TDS when you're upset about something like this happening. Hell, even McConnell doesn't like it, but rolled over anyway. Tell me when that wall gets built, will ya?
Even the NY Daily News which is adamantly anti-trump believes that he will win the court battle.
Sadly they may be right. As much as I would like to hope not, with Gorsuch and Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS, which is where this is going, they're all for executive over-reach. So we'll see what happens. But at least it will take awhile hopefully.
Besides, there is no national emergency. This is a fantasy wall in Trump's head to placate his supporters. That's all it is. Even people at the border and the majority of the American public don't want a wall or a national emergency.
Honestly I don't think this so-called national emergency is going anywhere, neither I suspect does Trump. His comment that he would win in court sounded hollow and disingenuous. I don't think he believes he can win.
The whole national emergency idea is just a distraction to cover over the fact that he couldn't make a deal to get his wall.
Congress has a way around Trump's "National Emergency" It's the 1976 National Emergencies Act.
It could put the brakes on Trumps attempt at a power grab. This has nothing to do with a National emergency. This is Trump's ego, pure and simple.
