If Martin Luther King, Jr. had sex with 40 women, then that shows he had a healthy libido in my opinion. I would be interested in knowing who these women were.

I have heard of men having sex with upwards of 4 thousand women. Now, those numbers are ridiculous.

odd indeed.
You have no idea what I question or don't question. I have never, ever been a fan of the Daily Mail.

If all this is real - let's see some real proof.

Otherwise, the man is dead.

We already knew he was no saint but this story attempts to take it to a whole new level.

That's right. Just an attempt to smear a great man who had flaws like everyone else on the planet.

It is best that we remember history factually and not white wash the behavior of past political figures.
Those are all easy to find.

During the Roman Republic Civil Wars between Caesar and Pompey, Caesar wanted to capture Pompey and have some sort of peace between the two men. Pompey fled Greece across the Mediterranean to Greek ruled Egypt where the Ptolemaic child King had Pompey beheaded. Caesar was horrified that his friend but also enemy was beheaded. All Caesar wanted to do was to make peace and have Pompey back as Co Consul.
Lincoln was guilty of crimes himself, how would he arrest another leader?

It was common knowledge in the 60s. Then after he was killed, it all disappeared.

You're employing an obvious logical fallacy here. I think it's also obvious why you're employing. Rumors of King being a serial philanderer and even a woman-beater have been around for years. Reports of him witnessing a rape and laughing about it are on a whole separate level. Most of the apologists in this thread have studiously avoided discussing that part of the report, again, for obvious reasons.

The intent of the question was clear: if MLK witnessed a rape and laughed about it, should his statues come down?

I say no, but we should adjust our appraisal of the man, namely the staggering hypocrisy in a man who preached "radical nonviolence," yet was a violent man in his own life. It will be interesting to see if lefties pounce on this staggering hypocrisy of this particular Christian the same way they pounce anytime a right-wing Christian reveals his/her hypocrisy.

No. I'm not.

What I've said all along is we have NO IDEA if any of this is true.

WHEN we do - I'll discuss again.
