On the other hand, other developed countries also have the same technology and alot of those countries have not seen anywhere near the skyrocketing inequality that America has. So its pretty clear that we have this growing inequality by design.
Could it be that other countries have educational systems that better prepare their citizens?
So, seriously, how do you think this current political/social divide in the U.S. will end?
When Trump is finally recognized as the fraud he was (he will be in jail by then, or deceased).
We will get big dirty money out of politics via a constitutional amendment and Republican politicians will have to face the reality that their economic and ecological policies represent only about 8% of the national electorate. Representatives will spend more time at local town halls and far less time at the phone banks talking personally to out of state rich donors.
Trumpers will finally recognize that the Democratic party is the natural home and capable advocate for working class people.
I hope you are right. Boomers are split between those who want to go back to the 50s and those who want to go back to the 60s. The future belongs to the young, who tend to be less racist, less homophobic, less xenophobic, less materialistic and less religious than their parents. Let's hope we can keep it together until they take over.
You left out less educated and less physically fit. But they are world-class at playing video games and ordering Starbucks drinks.
Our political system is now post-Constitutional and most young people are fine with that. The federal government does as it pleases, slowly morphing into a police-state leviathan. If you want to see what it will look like in ten years, look at China today.
It will either get worked out or we will collapse and have to rebuild. We survived our civil war, the 60's and many other divides, I try to keep an optimistic view. We should be willing to learn from our mistakes to make change not dig in deeper.
Wealth Gap. White collar crime is the biggest threat to us than street crime.
Education, I think we should add a associates degree to our k-12 program. You can pay for a 2 year college or go to a community collage for two years as part of a k-12 program. It will help get the next generation out of the bubble they live in to experience something new on their own. How did the millennial's become so in your face rude. I see it in hospitals, police and in our government at all these hearings.
Immigration, no one want's to work or compete for a job with someone that doesn't speak English or doesn't have the working skill or professionalism. Knowing they are skirting the system while you are supposed to obey the law.
A presidency that would build on the previous presidency rather than try to discredit it.
We had the whole world on our side after 9/11 and Cheney and Rumsfeld squandered it.

Trumpers? No, this political and social divide won't end until we get these so-called progressives out of congress and the liberal left returns to what has defined our country since its founding instead of trying to tear it down and replace it with something else.
Lol, if the Democrats are for working Americans then why do they want millions of illegal aliens to remain here and retain their jobs? Why do they want working Americans to continue to cover the billions of dollars for the social costs for these illegal aliens along with providing them with healthcare (paid for by the working American also), driver's licenses and sanctuary cities? The Democrats have deserted the working American long ago to pander for votes from those who have a vested interest in illegal immigration.
I think there will be a lot of violence leading up to and after the election. Isolated events could potentially spark bigger events. And when the economy turns down, things could take a really nasty turn........

And don't forget, they have no future. One of their own has declared they have only 12 years left to live.
