I think you are missing the point, if Walmart stops selling ammo and the local gun store has it for twice as much it won't stop a maniac or thug from buying it do you think they care about the price of ammo to carry out a crime?, but it will hurt the wallet of legal abiding citizens.

Per the article, Walmart will continue to sell shotguns and long barrel deer rifles and much of the ammunition for those guns.

And continue to sell a .223 hunting rifle but not the ammo for it because it fits in a AR-15 also

Walmarts around me are already a breeding ground for crime. I'm sure this will help.

I’ve found their prices usually better. I’ll occasionally pick up a box of .223 or 5.56 just to keep my brass supply up. Their .22 is generally good but I’m not worried there as I have around 25K rounds of that on hand. I’ll just watch for sales online. All the same to me.

If I do go there, I’ll still be carrying. Concealed means concealed. No one can fault that.

I can now start shopping at Walmart again!

My local Wally World sells boxes of 100 Federal 9mm FMJ for $17.00 It's cheap ammo but good for target practice. That's about half of what the gun shops sell it for.
