I fail to see how that is a bad thing. People can’t decide what’s best for them?

It is communism, a euphemism for slavery.

They get to mandate the purchase of coverage--as well as write its definitions of what is "essential" in "essential benefits."

What a deal.

Who cares about cost?

It is morally reprehensible!

Please explain to me the morality of forcing people to pay for your expenses.

Hmmm... Wonder why we don't see lefties lining up to voluntarily foot the bills for everyone else.
Leftists only good at volunteering other people’s money.

Universal Healthcare is a right. No two countries have the same strategy for delivery. There is no right or wrong strategy.

I am not in the Single Payor/ Medicare for All camp.
those are some magic words you're using.

If your neighbors held a vote and the outcome was that your services as a "Real Estate Marketing Consultant" should be provided to them free of charge, would you abide by it?

Such an excellent point. I live in Seattle which is one of the biggest liberal enclaves in America. As you can well imagine, property taxes are going thru the roof as a result of typical liberal entitlements. So landlords are panicking and raising rents in accordance with the higher property taxes. Rents increase when property taxes rise. Plain and simple.

Well guess who is now screaming for rent control? You got it...all the young liberals. See they won't put their money where their mouths are!!!! If you believe in these causes, you better be willing to open up your pocketbooks and embrace the costs. Pretty darned hypocritical if you ask me.

Are you asking why it's a bad thing that people who would normally leave unsuitable jobs or start their own businesses are prohibited from doing so simply due to the fear of losing their healthcare coverage?
