All employer-tied healthcare does is make people cling to jobs that aren't necessarily right for them, and it also makes people far less likely to want to start their own businesses, much less hire people for them.

While I favor Universal Healthcare it is with a caveat of substantially increased personal responsibility and having skin in the game.
Universal Healthcare is a right. No two countries have the same strategy for delivery. There is no right or wrong strategy.

Such an excellent point. I live in Seattle which is one of the biggest liberal enclaves in America. As you can well imagine, property taxes are going thru the roof as a result of typical liberal entitlements. So landlords are panicking and raising rents in accordance with the higher property taxes. Rents increase when property taxes rise. Plain and simple.
Well guess who is now screaming for rent control? You got it...all the young liberals. See they won't put their money where their mouths are!!!! If you believe in these causes, you better be willing to open up your pocketbooks and embrace the costs. Pretty darned hypocritical if you ask me.
