"Good riddance. It's not like @realDonaldTrump paid taxes here anyway," Cuomo

So as usual, Trump says he pays millions to the city of NY and the state while the governor says (who I am pretty sure has access to Trumps state tax returns) says he has paid none.

Based on Trumps track record on truth, I know who I believe.

Why ANYONE would be a resident of that ultra high tax, far left progressive nanny state is beyond me. Cuomo came out and said if you are not Progressive you don't belong there.

Great, another New Yorker in Florida. Maybe he will complain non stop about the place and try changing it to be like where he came from, like all the rest of them do.

I wouldn't believe much of what Fredo Cuomo says. Trump definitely pays millions in property taxes in NYC. Not sure about income taxes, depends on how long he can write off his losses. Completely legal tax move, if you don't like it have Congress change the tax laws (but they won't because those hypocrites use the same tax loophole as Trump does).

Trump is just another Northeastern dead beat moving to Florida. Great.

When my husband got a job in Florida, he did not declare Florida residency for 3 years until I moved to Florida. I stayed and worked in NY while our daughter was going to SUNY. We paid NY taxes. It was simply easier to do this. In state tuition would not have been an issue since I was still living and working in NY wherever he lived.

Best decision he could make! Welcome to Florida! NY politicians may be hateful in their farewell words, but in the end there is a lot of money leaving the State.

When Trump leaves, even if the family will shop and buy stuff in NY they easily can have it shipped to Florida and avoid paying sales tax in NY as we do. We buy at Bloomingdales and have them ship it to Florida and pay the same amount of sales tax as Florida!

When they tax you up your eye balls, you have to be smart and think about what is best for you and your family!

So many of my family members and friends are planning or already have left NY!

Trump’s just another grifter finding a home in Florida.

As long as Trump has property there, I rather doubt NYC is losing huge money. He will still have to pay property tax. As for income tax. The true elite tend to get income in ways that it is not taxed.
