As long as he leaves his business in NYC and retains all his property all he saves is his own income tax. He owns the company that pays his salary. He can tweak that any way that works out best for him.

IMO, this is more about New Yorkers not liking him than state taxes.

Does Mar-a-largo have the same bed bug problem as Doral? I guess it is a toss up which is more annoying. Trump or the bed bugs?

I know South Florida is also notorious for its roaches.

So he's taking revenge on NY, who he has screwed on taxes forever, by punishing Florida?

Yeah--I'm sure Trump and the trophy wife will live in Florida 183 days a year, in order to be a legal resident. But then again, he does believe he is above the law that the little people must adhere to. Hes going to hurt small business and clog traffic 6 months a year?

I just can't understand why he loves living among east coast liberal urban elites who dislike him. Why doesn't he want to live in west FL or the Panhandles with his base?

He has also screwed Fla. with his property tax scams.

FWIW there is a LONG list of athletes and the rich that have moved to FL from high-tax states using various excuses so as not to hurt their brand. Tiger Woods, Venus and Serena (at least one of them) and many many others.

When you make 50mil a year, going from CA to FL is millions of dollars a year in tax savings.

You're crazy to stay here with their taxes and government.

I'm glad NY will no longer receive his tax revenue.
What tax revenue? He says he doesn't pay taxes because he's smart.

Cuomo was complaining that everyone is moving out of New York.. he says because taxes are too high.. duh.... keep giving all those illegals welfare and housing.

I have friends in Manhattan and they tell me the welfare people live better than the people who live there and pay taxes. The welfare crowd has apartments on the water, private parking spaces, where many rich do not and have to move their cars for street cleaning. Then once they move their car they have to find a space to park which can be a hassle.
