I avoid the entire issue by placing my grocery order online at Walmart.com and then picking it up at the store. That way I can choose a convenient time to pick up my groceries, household goods, and sundries, and the Walmart people bring them right to my car and load them for me. Easy peasy, problem solved.

It's their merchandise. They have a right to make sure you paid for it. Once you prove you paid for it, then it's yours. I always have my receipt ready.
I haven't gotten past the first page of replies, but in my area, it's not the SJWs who are complaining about this.... They don't really go to Walmart anyway.

They have no legal right to stop you and they know it.

This is what I do. Sooo convenient. (Well, not super convenient because we do not buy meat or produce at Walmart so we still have to actually shop at another store. But it's awesome for everything else!) We have only had one time that there was one item wrong. Otherwise it's been perfect.
