Nearly all children of prominent politicians and men of money benefit from their parents' influence. Most do so behind the scenes--that's why we never hear about it. Their wealthy parents set up a charitable foundation and guess who they appoint to run it?

It's an old trick. Palin did it twice, Glen Beck did it, half of the talking heads on Fox did it, and so many others I can't even count them all. Anyone with connections can do it.
It's a very cheap and easy way to launch a book tour. And for a politician wanna-be, a book tour is a very easy and cheap way to get some attention. The book isn't important- it's the face time that is in a book tour. And any tour is always a really cheap way to get some public attention.
