ISIS is reorganising in Iraq to become an 'Al Qaeda on steroids' with 'better techniques' and 'a lot more money', intelligence officials warned today.

The militants are said to be posing an increased threat after becoming more skilled and dangerous than Al Qaeda, two years after losing the last of their territory in Iraq.

The group have been buying vehicles, weapons, food supplies and equipment - and now have more technological nous, Kurdish and Western intelligence officials said.
If they really want to solve the terror problem, Trump should send some money from NATO budget to his buddy Putin. They can sort it out. But the problem is no one in Pentagon wants to solve that problem, since defense budget is a big cash cow.

You and your kids pull your savings and go fight them if you want.

My kids and my money are just fine over here.

Liberals are war mongers.

Why would anyone be surprised by this. Russias defence ministry put out a statement last week, they said there are signs the organization is creeping back into Iraq and they're worried they can actually rise up again due to conditions in Iraq. The people there don't have anything, their system is hopelessly corrupt and the people have no hope for the future. Countries like Iraq are where things like ISIS and Al-Quaida thrive. With good reason too. All you have to do is a little research, Iraq is a pit of suffering. The west has failed once again.

It's going to be a different animal this time too. Russia and Syria beat ISIL/ISIS there because they made a big mistake. They tried to stand against them in a conventional style war. Russian airpower, logistical, support and a determined SAA destroyed them despite western attempts (even ongoing) to allow them to win.

Despite the setbacks for the terrorists they have learned, technology has changed, relationships have changed. As I said, the wests failure in Iraq, it's failure to create a functioning civil society in that country has come back once again to haunt us. We've pissed away over a trillion dollars and we've gotten nothing for it.

I don't know what to say. I'm really at a loss as to just what the solution is aside from taking down the biggest supporters of this mess which are our allies over there.

Getting Russia in on this is one of the best alternatives I can think of. They'll straighten Iraq out (hopefully the first thing they would do is bomb the Green Zone to rubble) to where the average person has some hope for the future.

Since Russia has been made public enemy #1 here lately though I seriously doubt they'll bite even if somebody else foots the bill. Russian people won't have it. No Russian soldier would ever want to die there, the Russian people would not allow the manpower needed to go there.

You can't kill all the terrorists but you can kill the reason they want to become terrorists. Bring the troops home and protect our borders like the Constitution says.

There are still Nazis running around, so with that in some people's logic, WW2 was never won.

And the GW Bush administration made 935 false statements about Iraq in order to gain support for the Iraq war.

For you leave out the GW Bush administrations role in creating ISIS and then blame Obama for creating ISIS is dishonest, insanely partisan, an assault on reality, and an assault on history itself.
You make a valid point about W Bush, but even you are sugar coating Obama's role now.

Obama openly ignored the obvious large scale build up of ISIS far too long, and really tried to down play it, due to his own selfish thoughts of his personal legacy, and left ward political pressure.

A bit further down the road, Obama was all in for refugees from that area into America "100,000 refugees will be brought to America, and that is just the start...." while openly lying about how these refugees would be vetted to screen out dangerous ones.

At this point it is important we lock down immigration from those areas. We cannot ignore what has happened in Europe, and certian isolated areas of the U.S.

The price of invading Iraq will continue to get steeper.
