If they really want to solve the terror problem, Trump should send some money from NATO budget to his buddy Putin. They can sort it out. But the problem is no one in Pentagon wants to solve that problem, since defense budget is a big cash cow.
NATO budget = US military budget. There is no separate NATO budget. How much of American taxpayer money are you willing to send to Putin?
You can't kill all the terrorists but you can kill the reason they want to become terrorists. Bring the troops home and protect our borders like the Constitution says.
You mean you'd rather fight them here than there. Okey dokey.
Well, hopefully the Iraqi central government and their army and police force will stand and fight this time, instead of running away or surrendering... The Iraqis did learn some tricks as well... Your chances of surviving are greater by standing your ground and fighting than surrendering.
This isn’t a quick war and it’s going to be a generational conflict... If we go back to our pre 9/11 status, we will be hit again, in our homeland... killing hundreds, if not thousands of both Trump supporters and Trump haters
Sorry, ISIS or whatever they now call themselves now or in the future, hate ALL of us and it doesn’t matter if you a Democrat, Republican or an Independent... You’re still an American.

If you really want a solution or solve the terror problem once for all, we should have strong and experienced partners. But only if you want to solve the problem.

ISIS served as a placeholder for a US invasion. Russia's entry into the war upset the plan as ISIS started a faster retreat from the cities in the East before the US entered the war. As one can see from the report, there is no ISIS. When they start using words like linked or affiliated to describe groups' relationship to ISIS, they really don't have any substance. They're most likely the civilians that remained as the ISIS mercenary force retreated. Many people 'joined' ISIS for a nominal $5/month in a collapsing economy rather than flee. They have little value as fighters, having lacked training or experience.

Indeed. Trump and Putin are the roadblocks. US/Russia coalition is unthinkable for some people.
What are you babbling about? They're picking a new name? Great. Are they going to stop being terrorists? No? Then who cares?
Again, "ISIS" is not defeated. Period.
Where exactly is the "islamic states"? Point on a map for us.
The point is that people are taking the attitude that ISIS isn't beaten if there is one dude running around in the desert that still is a member.
It's impossible.
At this point, it looks like Syria is going to crush the rebels and then mop the floor with whatever bands of miscreants still wander about Syria and Western Iraq.
I love how Leftists only hope for the worst, and for bad things to happen to the U.S. and our military. Sad, when you must root for the Terrorist Murderers, and align yourselves with them.
The problem with what you're saying is bad things do happen. By in large Trump* has had a pretty easy go of it. The economy was on the uptick, immigration issues were not unmanageable at least in terms of hordes of lawlessness obliterating cities, no all-out scorched earth international conflicts, thus far ISIS or others haven't launched any wide spread domestic acts of terrorism, there've been no massive deadly public heath disease outbreaks, no irreparable natural event catastrophes. You get the idea.
Generally speaking Trump* has only had to deal with first-world problems and problems of his own making. The deal is, I don't know of any President that walks away and gets a free ride. Bad things do happen and I don't have any faith that if the poop hits the fan hard, he has the smarts or temperament to do anything other than wildly shoot from the hip trying to resolve it and if he can't, will assign blame to others with his failures. There are things where a tweet-storm won't cut it.
I'm not rooting for disaster but sadly I think that's what it will take to peel back the veneer so most Americans will really see what they have in the White House. Also sadly, his base will never acknowledge how fundamentally unfit for office Trump* is regardless and in spite of whatever may befell this country during his term.
Let's hope our luck holds.
