Just saying.... They want to suspend the Constitution.
Why not change the constitution? I am sure there would be a majority for such a change in view of the current situation.

And if you believe that it's all make believe and want to walk around normally, you can probably do that too as long as you've tested clean.
Not sure when we'll reach that kind of volume of masks. I hope 3M has people working 24/7.

I think the whole world should help the Iranians, who have a lot of infections and deaths.
The US does not let others off the hook, yet forgives China for all misdeeds.

When China helps Iran, it is doing the right thing. Misdeeds usually come from the US side.

Not this time. China truly brought the world to its knees.

Hospitals consider universal do-not-resuscitate orders for coronavirus patients

Hospitals on the front lines of the pandemic are engaged in a heated private debate over a calculation few have encountered in their lifetimes — how to weigh the “save at all costs” approach to resuscitating a dying patient against the real danger of exposing doctors and nurses to the contagion of coronavirus.

Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago has been discussing a universal do-not-resuscitate policy for infected patients, regardless of the wishes of the patient or their family members — a wrenching decision to prioritize the lives of the many over the one.

Well, so far there are like 21k deaths, no comparison with the 50+ million deaths from the American flue in 1918.

Also, it was an accident, not a misdeed. I know a lot of people have difficulty in accepting that, they desperately want to blame someone.

Calls over a loudspeaker of “Team 700,” the code for when a patient is on the verge of death, come several times a shift. Some have died inside the emergency room while waiting for a bed.

A refrigerated truck has been stationed outside to hold the bodies of the dead. Over the past 24 hours, New York City’s public hospital system said in a statement, 13 people at Elmhurst had died.

“It’s apocalyptic,” said Dr. Bray, a general medicine resident at the hospital.

All of the more than 1,800 intensive care units in New York City are expected to be full by Friday, according to a Federal Emergency Management Agency leadership briefing obtained by The New York Times. Patients could stay for weeks, limiting space for newly sickened residents.

Friend of mine is nurse at a hospital in Suffolk County, Long Island. They are re-purposing other areas of the hospital into ICU's because so many patients need intubation, and the existing ICU's are full. This is 50 miles from NYC. Most people doing poorly are older people/middle aged with the underlying conditions you've heard about: asthma, smoking, diabetes, etc. Younger people are tending to be okay. It's exactly what you've heard everywhere else, the problem is just the sheer volume. Basically they are using hydrochloroquine on everyone who is doing poorly, but monitoring them for complications.

It's different when you hear it directly from someone you know..and hear it from someone who was skeptical about how dangerous this thing was as well going back a month or so. This person is on the front line and I have much respect for. They were also a Fox News watcher and bought some of the BS about it being overhyped, but not any more.
