I cannot fathom how someone cannot sit there and either watch or read the information that has been put out about this, and still post such absurd things.

Everything in life comes dome to cost-benefit. More people than you realize simply compute the numbers different than you.
social distancing will only work as long as people are exercising the habit. As soon as we go "back to normal," we have 2-3 months before we are right back to panic, hoarding behavior, and collapsing markets. Nothing is going to flatten under normal conditions until everyone has been vaccinated. It doesn't bode well for the economy.
In Great Britain, they are taking the coronavirus seriously--at least since their PM tested positive for it. Here is a family commemorating the changes that are taking place:

I wonder how many of these GOP Senators will die or have direct family members die from the virus. Like they say in opera...it ain't over until....

Only two weeks ago many people were still eating in the restaurants, when Italy was already in hell.
This forum and elsewhere are peppered with posts from those who persist in the belief Covid-19 is a hoax, a conspiracy or that it is only happening in big bad liberal cities.

No, they're just living life instead of living in fear because their TV told them to.
And that’s alright if the choice was limited to them. Their choice however, could kill a first responders or front line healthcare professional trying to save their life.
Trump tends to lie to avoid answering any honest question about anything, and in typical Trump fashion he changes the subject and blames someone else. Sadly his supporters can’t see the forest for the trees. For the record I don’t think Trump knows what per capita means.
