I don't think Trump "orchestrated all this panic", but tried to initially calm fears, and the markets. It didn't work so well, but I can't blame him for trying. Boomers are no better off poorer. If he would have told everyone to freak out, they would probably be in worse shape today.

Now that we know the death rate is much lower than previously thought, can we please stop all the crazy hysteria? And can we please re-open all of our businesses and get the economy going again so we don't enter into another great depression?
You’re forgetting the shortage of breathing assistance equipment.

That’s the primary reason for their attempts to slow the coverage.

It's accelerating. We are entering "Phase 2" that Fauci talked about a few weeks ago, and he said just yesterday that a "good" outcome from this is just 100,000 Americans dying over the next few months.

And yet Ron DeSantis, governor of America's 3rd largest state population wise, has still not issued any sort of lockdown or shelter-in-place whatsoever. Beaches are still crowded and people are still going to church.
Trumps praise of DeSantis jumped out at me, he said he was waiting on guidelines from the health agencies I guess the research universities that contacted him weren't enough.

Florida and Michigan jumped by over 20% yesterday, over 1000 new cases.

One day the pseudo-conservatives such as yourself, need to learn to own the mess they create, or support creating, as opposed to trying to blame the media, or dems, or invisible boogie-men.
What percentage of 340,000,000 is 240,000? Here's a little hint. 1% is 3,400,000.

Pseudo-conservative? This pandemic is why you conserve. So you have it when you need it. Now _IS_ the time to take action to prop up the economy, when people are sitting at home worrying about how they are going to pay the bills.

And it's not Trump ginning up panic, it's the media and their moronic cheerleaders. Everyone knows that.

For the love of all that is holy, STOP COMPARING COVID-19 TO THE FLU! It is not the flu, and just because more people died from the flu doesn't make it acceptable for even 1 person to die from coronavirus, much less 200,000. Is COVID-19 the same as AIDS, Ebola, or Marburg? They are all fatal viral diseases, so they can all be compared to one another. No, they can't. They have different mechanisms of action, different signs and symptoms, incubation periods, treatments, means of transmission, etc. . .

If anything, this pandemic has shown that private enterprise is much more creative, nimble, efficient, and price-conscious when it comes to problem solving than government will ever be. And capitalism is the ideology that makes this possible.

This is a truth leftists will try and steer people away from.

And that's why we needed a socialist bill passed to rescue us from The Great Depression II.

So those hospitals being overwhelmed is just because of media generated hysteria.

I feel much better.
