Back to relative normal by Sept, eh, OP?

MI had its two highest days for new infections yet on 10/15 and 10/16.

We're back to normal compared to where we were in March. Now in Michigan you can go to gyms, movie theaters, indoor restaurants, etc.

I basically spent all of August in Detroit, and it was amazing coming from Miami to enjoy indoor dining and nightlife that closed at midnight vs 10pm. Now ofc Miami is better, with more things opened.

The number of people infected, no one cares about. Just what's open, and what's not. Only hypochondriacs are following those numbers.

No kidding. Down here in South Florida we still have mask mandates in practically all businesses and the number of infections is rising nationwide.

Minus a few well-noted early missteps the scientists have been pretty spot on with this virus since about April.

People who have said:

- Warm-weather kills it

- It doesn't impact rural areas

- It doesn't impact people who aren't frail and under 70

- Masks are useless

Have been proven wrong but in the age of social-media echo chambers where you can make your own truth, they won't ever see it.

Yep. So disregard 220,00 dead and counting. Real humane.

If this virus had hit us in July or August for the first time, Trump would have been dead in the water by election day.
Wow that's a doozy BG.

Hasn't aged well at all.

The original post truly illustrates the delusional fantasies entertained by the radical rightwing faction of this forum. As the midwest now struggles with rising cases, posts like these should remind all of us why Trump is not to be trusted on handling the pandemic. More importantly, we need to remind his supporters that they are complicit in the needless deaths of tens of thousands of Americans and in destroying our economy through their support of Trump’s chaotic response.

Just...yikes.

My mouth was hanging open as I read the original post. Lol...astonishing ignorance.
