I really can't understand why some people think that the response to Covid-19, in terms of the requirements to social distance, wear masks, and wash hands is somehow a "liberal" attempt to take away people's "freedoms." First, people in other countries who are following these guidelines couldn't care less about the political insanity in the U.S. and are therefore not influenced in the least by American political narrative, liberal or conservative. They simply believe in science, which Trump's followers apparently do not. Politicizing the virus is a form of inane--and dangerous--denial. Second, when you refuse to follow CDC guidelines, YOUR freedoms are not being protected, but you ARE violating the freedoms of other people by potentially putting them at risk of contracting the virus (since those who are infectious can be asymptomatic themselves) and possibly dying from it, not to mention accelerating another surge. That's just a medical FACT. As is the FACT that nearly 2 million Americans have died from this scourge; an 8-year-old child in NC just died from it this week. And medical FACTS have nothing to do with politics.
As for those who think that the virus will be gone by the time of the election, I've got news for you: every major medical organization from the Mayo Clinic to the Cleveland Clinic to Harvard Med to the CDC is stating that it is virtually certain that the virus will bring a second surge in the fall, lasting into the winter, and that that surge will be, at best, equal to what has been experienced in the past three months and, in fact, probably worse, intensified by the arrival of flu season, as well.
Be a grown-up: Wear masks when you're outside, social distance, and wash hands. If you refuse to do this, if you persist in throwing politicized tantrums on behalf of your so-called "freedoms," your logic is worse than simply idiotic or toddler-esque, it's dangerous to others, including your own family.

How violent the Dems are? That's pretty funny considering that Trump has been fear-baiting, race-baiting, and encouraging violence among his bootlickers since the day he took office.
Please state for the record. The people rioting, looting, burning, and destroying their cities are:
1. MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters
2. Leftists, who are upset with everything and everyone.
Which one is it? Nobody is buying your BS any longer.

Indeed, Democrats are the catalyst of a race riot. Who knew rioters, looters, and arsonist had an immunity to this "horrible deadly" virus.
Funny, I see a LOT of people wearing masks at those protests.
You'd probably be torching the Tea Party protesters, had you lived in that day, who were similarly rebelling at the tyranny of the king. Most of the toady Tories were screaming the same type of mocking and threatening epithets at them, too.
Why are you so afraid of black people marching in the streets? Why is that, for you, automatically a "race riot"? Not even close, dude.

It has to do with the fact that you are blaming conservatives and Trump supporters for not heeding the precautions. You hear the media and a couple here beef about wearing a mask and you ASSUME it's all conservative and Trump supporters.
Then the fact that man of these protestors are walking around not maintaining social distancing and many are not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly so they can breathe disproves your statements about this being about Trump supporters and conservatives.

Mostly, we blame it on Trump. And the only "side" I'm on is the "side" of justice. I don't pledge allegiance to any leader or any party.
Thomas Paine would have been appalled at Trump supporters, though, and especially at Trump. As would Washington or Jefferson: the utterly vile and threatening violence Trump spouts on a regular basis--his little race-baiting, fear-baiting dog whistles included (he knows he's got you wherever he wants you--get real), as well as his profound ignorance and malicious narcissism. Appalled. HARDLY a leader of integrity, honesty, and intelligence. He's a child, tweeting incessantly and impulsively like a teenager, calling people names (American protestors are "terrorists", so-and-so is a "loser," and on and on and on, nonstop--but hey, the leader of North Korea is a great guy!) Washington's soldiers didn't march barefoot in the snow so that the rightwing mob--with their pathetic pumped-up pseudo-masculinity, with their guns and their motorcycles and their vile language and their blind allegiance to a corrupt leader--would go against the ideals he fought for. Just following the lead of their Great White Rich Daddy, I guess. There has always been the mob, fighting against their own people and in defense of tyrants. Some things never change.
