Genocide? Get a grip.
Very typical move. When the science and the scientists such as Fauci release information (he is part of the administration, btw), you accuse him of dishonest because your personal feelings do not align with the science. And, you expect us to take your arguments seriously?

Congrats, you are the one millionth person to state that. Key word being "overwhelmed". Somehow the purpose of the lockdowns have been twisted into making sure the hospitals see very few cases at all and operate at 10% capacity.

When Dr. Falsey was telling us all January and February that the threat was "miniscule", that we should be less focused on coronavirus and more on common flu, that we should not wear masks, and that there was no reason to restrict travel, how can you take *him* seriously? Dr. Falsey is part of the administration but does not speak for the administration, especially when the WH explicitly says the document does not reflect the position of the administration.

No, I was telling you that Democrats wouldn't be able to use this pandemic to score political points unless the death toll was AT LEAST 100K.

Knowing what we know now about how low the true mortality rate from this virus is, yes, those who support keeping things shut down are cowards. That doesn't mean that some people shouldn't stay in their homes, it just means that keeping everything shut down to cater to the boomers who are at risk is foolish and cowardly.

Our numbers are going to be well over 100,000 despite our efforts to stop the spread. Your rationale is like declaring we can cut off the parachute because we’re not hurdling uncontrollably towards the Earth and claiming that anyone who refuses to cut it off is a coward.

You’ve been wrong on covid for months dating back to when you said it was equivalent to the flu in February.

Possibly the numbers will be over 100,000....and I get that you are very happy about that because you've always wanted to use this pandemic to score cheap political points and there's a chance you'll be able to.

Don't get it twisted, I'm not telling you to stop being a coward, I'm fine with whatever life choices you make for yourself....I'm telling you that you have to understand that not everyone else is a coward. The 70%+ of the country who are functionally immune to the virus along with the 20% or so additional people who will experience mild to moderate symptoms don't want to lose their jobs, their homes, and their lifestyles simply because there's 10% of the population that should stay home because they are at risk.

Put a pin in threads like this, because the election is what is going to "cure" coronavirus and make everyone feel less afraid. If you care about the economy, life going back to normal (state run normal anyway), going to restaurants and events, etc...pray with all your might that Biden gets elected because between November and January, the media will be working overtime to let you know how everything is awesome now, herd immunity rules, coronavirus is beaten, we're all good, etc.

It's a media fueled panic, built entirely on misuse of misreported data, all for one purpose - getting rid of Trump. Pray it works, or we are in for four more years of this s**t. Not because of what Trump does or doesn't do, but because the media will spend every single minute for the next four years terrifying you of one thing or another, and the American populace is too freaking stupid to realize they are being played like fiddles.

Seriously, if you want everything to be hunky dory again...vote Biden like your life depends on it.

This is not the first time you have decided to level the reprehensible accusation that people are happy that their countrymen are dying for political reasons. Of course, that is simply a self-projection on your end. Fortunately, not everyone's mind is as corrupted and poisoned by partisan hatred to the point of irrationality like yours.

The reason I say it is because it is accurate. I don't like that it's accurate, but that's the state of the TDS crowd these days. It's legitimately a pathological condition and hopefully it'll end with the end of Trump's second term.

Hasn’t happened.

We are gonna be at 30k daily cases and 2k-3k daily deaths for a long time. Is what it is and we either get it over with now or put it off for whatever pointless reason and the same damn thing just happens later.
Bingo. We are prolonging the inevitable. During the winter, flu season is already bad enough for many hospitals....but throw in a highly contagious disease in there with no immunity and no vaccine, and we could see more shutdowns again.
