The reporter's response really troubled me. Fair is fair, and I think she over-reacted. Trump didn't have time to try and target her because of her nationality.
He knew anything else he said to her after she took her mask off would just be painted as racism and picking on the poor Asian woman reporter.....
The questions were stupid and inflammatory. How would your react if someone asked you "When did you stop beating your wife?" I, for one, am happy to see a President with the backbone to shutdown ill-intentioned members of the press corps. Treat people civilly and you will generally be treated civilly in return.

These clowns posing as reporters often weave accusations into their questions !!! If there was an honest bone in their bodies they would just make the accusation but that's not their job is it ? I actually feel that is what they were hired to do....be disrespectful troublemakers. They are pawns for their administration...puppets. “When did you stop beating your wife?” is a nasty loaded question when asked of the average Joe because it bakes in the unfounded assumption that poor Joe is beating his wife. Unlike the above, the question: “Why are you making this a global competition?” does not bake in an unfounded assumption. It is utterly and completely obvious that Trump is making this a global competition. He is constantly crowing about how the US is doing better (by some carefully chosen metric) than every other country. It’s like asking a notorious, proven wife-beater, when he stopped beating his wife. Totally legit.
Instead of asking President Trump "Why are you making this a global competition?" they should ask themselves. Certainly on the testing this is true they made it a competition.
Three female so called reporters quickly organized into a wolf pack trying to attack the president with their argument ? They lost their minds trying to grandstand !!! Its never their job to argue with the President !!! Any reporters that didn't get a chance to ask one of their questions can thank the wolfpack's grandstanding which brought an end to questioning !!!
In the future they should act like reporters and not wild animals and remember their job isn't to end the press briefing and prevent others form getting their questions answered !!!

The anger that he must feel virtually every waking moment would mean lethal blood pressure for me and, I'd venture, for most proud patriotic Americans in his age group facing what he does daily. He's a walking miracle.
Although I am one Trump's biggest opponents, I felt the Asian woman's response was a little over the top. I think Trump was just making the statement about asking China about this virus in general, it didn't matter if the reporter were a man, woman, white, black, Asian, whatever. I didn't see it as a targeted thing.
You are correct. She immediately tried to twist it into a racial attack against her, even though his answer had absolutely no racial implication at all.
