I think 100k is not a big deal. Imo. It’s nothing compared to most of us. Just old people dying primarily
Between February and May COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death in the US, exceeded only by heart disease and cancer. It has killed about five times as many as influenza.

I am one of those old people. At my age, average life expectancy is 15 years. I am working, enjoying being alive, and would like to see my grandchildren grow up. I would prefer not to die in the next year because people who believe their personal risk is low and that 100,000 deaths are "not a big deal" are unwilling to take simple steps to reduce spread of this coronavirus.

"Peaceful protestors" didn't and don't think COVID19 is a big deal. Are you complaining about them OP?

You're free to quarantine yourself and I encourage you to do so. You are scared. The rest of us have lives to live.

You can live your life while doing three simple things:

1. Wash your hands often. Use sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
2. Keep a six foot distance from other people.
3. Wear a mask indoors in public and outside if you cannot easily maintain social distancing.

Sure, now stop trying to ruin everyone else's life.

No it isn't just a flu. It's nowhere even close to the flu and even the experts and scientists do say that. I think they know the facts better than you do and the fact is it's not a flu.

I'm one of the oldies, at 82 soon, never have worn a mask, no sanitizer and wash my hands as I always have, and seeing my grandkids grow up and keep my immune system strong. The other day my friend who brings me food from the markets, sat about 3-4' from me, no mask, took my groceries into my kitchen and refrig, no mask and I am comfortable with my choices. I have worked to NOT live in fears....

And I don't watch mainstream media. More tuned into the investigative type journalism.
