There won't be any nation-wide shut-down again, and probably not even State-wide, but people need to be aware that this is not over and act accordingly. In Florida we still do have State mandated rules for restaurants, so the "its only blue States" mantra is getting old.
Trump and Pence are being reckless telling people that its over. Its not over.

Trump has nothing to do with what a state does.
It's your Governor that is setting/relaxing the rules and going into the re-opening phases.
And then your Mayor/City Council.
South Carolina same......in a city like Charleston, restaurants are an important part of our economy and they are shutting down. Each day a new one is shutting down. Their staff showing symptoms, testing positive. Side note -- staff aren't over 60 in nursing homes.
It's real.
About two weeks ago folks were not wearing masks in grocery stores, they are back after a week of 4 or 5 record setting days.
Several restaurants in my area have gone back to pick up or curbside only and have closed their dining rooms.
I guess that beats having to shut down because of positive cases.
That will hurt restaurants because if they have to shut down they have all that food they will have to throw out.

I said they are lying to you, and that is a fact. He is the president and Pence is the VP, and they are declaring the pandemic over, and they are encouraging everything to re-open. It is a lie, and a very reckless one considering the fact that many who listen to them will die.
Yes, in Florida Governor DeSantis(R) called for the statewide lock down (when Trump told him to), and we never fully re-opened. All bars are still closed in the most populous places.

Restaurants are making their own calls too. They are allowed to operate partially, and many have found it is impossible to make a profit unless they operate at full capacity. We ate out last night for the first time in 3 months, and saw the restaurants which were open were practically empty. Same has been the case with city streets. Lot of people have lost their jobs to they dont eat out even if restaurants were open, and streets are empty because they have nowhere to commute to.
The coronavirus will keep spreading until enough people have been exposed that it cannot spread anymore. Nothing you can do will stop that inevitably. Only fools thought ruining our economy and shutting down the world would stop that process. We are all going to get or have had coronavirus. Just let it go for crying out loud..... we do that it will be over in weeks. Most of us will hardly notice we had it. Many of us already have.
So dang tired of this foolishness. People really are stupid

You obviously don't work in a hospital or you might feel differently. Reopenings need to be done with caution so as not to overwhelm our health care system. Rapidly restarting and ignoring the guidelines is not very intelligent.

Smart restaurants don't have more than a couple of days of perishable items on hand. They don't have to toss it - donating to food banks or homeless shelters are better options.
Not that Florida really re-opened in the first place with all bars in South Florida still closed under orders of Governor DeSantis. Florida cases are hitting new records all the time, and the Testing vs Cases ratio also keeps increasing. Amazingly the Trump admin pretty much declared the pandemic a done-deal.
It is interesting you appear to be cheering this but a few months ago you certainly were not cheering the DOW hitting new highs every day or the current NASDAQ highs.
