It's simply a case of the virus being present in hospitalized patients. The number of cases compared to testing, and number of deaths, show the true story - neither have spiked. Even with the misleading stats, the numbers are so small they can barely be considered a blip, given the size of Texas.

As for restaurants closing because their employees are testing positive, that is because tests are easier to get right now, so a restaurant owner can find out for sure if their employees have the virus. A few months ago, that wasn't an option.

I know the left so very desperately wants this virus to hit a second wave, but it's just not happening here in Texas.

But, but, but the stable genius told us months ago that anyone who wanted a test could get one. He also told us warmer weather would cause the virus to go away.

I know the right so very desperately wants us to believe the stable genius knows what he's talking about in this election year but the facts say he doesn't.

IMO, we can avoid another shut-down if we keep people better informed. Those Texas restaurants are re-closing because the Texas citizens were convinced by their politicians that it was over, when it wasn't

Restaurants again shutting their doors as coronavirus flares

On Tuesday, Texas reported an 8.3% increase in hospitalizations to a record 2,518, the largest daily jump since June 4. The rolling seven-day average rose to a record 2,243, according to the state health department.

Florida is one of of 22 states where daily coronavirus cases are rising. The state's hospitalization count has nearly doubled since May 4, when its governor relaxed a month-long stay-at-home order by letting restaurants and stores outside of South Florida open at 25% capacity. The Sunshine State reported 80,109 cases on Tuesday, an increase of 3.6% from Monday.

After biggest one-day coronavirus total, how bad could it get in Florida?

https://www.sun-sentinel.com/coronav...3lq-story.html

The record number came not as a spike on an otherwise flat trend line but followed two weeks of rising numbers. It comes as a growing percentage of people taking the test come up positive for the disease. And it’s accompanied by a rise in emergency room visits for flu-like symptoms since early May, a closely watched statistic thought to represent the leading edge of the disease.
This must be Fake News generated by the Leftist MSM! Because President Trump told us the virus would disappear in April, like magic! And of course, the stable genius always knows what he's talking about. “People are really surprised I understand this stuff,” he said. “Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability.”

So stop citing statistics. Statistics are for losers! Ignorance is Bliss!! (in fact, that ought to be Donnie's new campaign slogan)

Florida set a new record yesterday for the most new coronavirus cases in one day.

This, as Republican IDIOT DeSantis makes a public statement: "We are open for business, we are not re-closing."

Ya know, y'all might have a smidge more credibility on the subject of it wasn't as plain as day that the Left and the Media are reveling in the opportunity to use a global pandemic as an opportunity to bash Trump and the Right.

You folks really aren't very good at hiding your motives.....

But that's the problem with subscribing to an ideology that dictates that it's followers be ruled by emotion.......

You're like a little kid playing peek-a-boo and he thinks that you actually don't know where he is when he pulls the blanket over his head.

Why are you holding back? Why don't you tell us how you really feel about most Americans?

These states will never have it as bad as NY did because of density. And it is not over for NY. It will come back as soon as you open up. If not then, then the fall will bring second wave that will make the first look like a stroll through Central Park. As for no sympathy, what an ass-class remark! The whole nation grieved with NY, prayed, volunteered to help, sewed masks. Now it's "enjoy your corona" from you?

Perhaps the "far better than the ACA" plan he said he would initiate soon after taking office but has yet to appear will come storming back with free lobotomies for everyone!

Texas, Florida, & Arizona lead the Untied States with the fastest growing number of coronavirus cases. All three states are led by Republican Governors and were among the first states to reopen/ease lockdown restrictions.
