Again, another case of: Do as I say and not as I do.
YEAH, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. AND IT'S GETTING PRETTY CROWDED HERE IN THE FOXHOLE, NEXT TO YOUR CONSERVATIVE GURU, BILL O'REALLY! HAHA!
O'Reilly has never served in any branch of the armed forces, although he claims to have been "in combat." But Bill is no stranger to misleading his audience on the subject of his own military experience.
First, there was the infamous January 18, 2005 Radio Factor broadcast where he stated:
"I've seen it. I've been close to it. And if I'm... my unit is in danger, and I've got a captured guy, and the guy knows where the enemy is, and I'm looking him in the eye, the guy better tell me. That's all I'm gonna tell you. He better tell me. If it's life or death, he's going first."
Later, O'Reilly was challenged by a caller from Portland named Roger:
O'REILLY: We've got a caller. Roger. Roger from Portland, Oregon. What say you Roger?
ROGER: Yeah, hey, Bill. First things first. You just said you've been in combat, but you've never been in the military, have you?
O'REILLY: No I have not.
ROGER: Then why do you say you've been in combat?
O'REILLY: Why do I say that, Roger? Because I was in the middle of a couple of firefights in South and Central America.
ROGER: But you were a media guy.
O'REILLY: Yeah. A media guy with a pen, not a gun. And people were shooting at me, Roger.
ROGER: People might think that you actually were in the military.
O'REILLY: Oh... We don't want to mislead anybody. But I made it quite clear... quite clear in many, many circumstances --
ROGER: [mumbles something about being, or not being, "fair and balanced"]

I agree that Bush has accomplished a LOT, none of it good, at least for most of us. He HAS enriched some of his 'base', namely the 'haves and the have mores', a LOT more. But for those of us in the rapidly dying middle class, it has been a time of getting screwed over time and again. Bush isn't stupid, but those Americans who wore his stickers and carried his water expecting to be rewarded, sorry chum, unless you are part of the afore-mentioned group, you are screwed also, and are responsible for elected this monster who cares nothing about the million Iraqis killed and the thousands of Americans likewise killed, and returning without limbs.

I think the time is right for war crimes prosecution against Bush and Cheney.

My understanding is that it takes a lot of guts to go into a war zone without a weapon. Ask that CNN reporter who had half his head blown off.

Hey, don't so hard on Bush. What about his 'Compassionate Conservative' plan to help the elderly on Medicare?

Well, this is what's wrong - what most people thought was a 'handout' to the poor, is really "mostly a handout to people who don't need it. The Medicare prescription drug benefit helps wealthy elderly, corporations, and insurance companies more than elderly without insurance coverage."

What is Bush doing in the Middle East again? He has accomplished nothing in a part of the world where America has been disappointed time after time [regardless if it is a Democrat or Republican president].

But Bush has no credibility with the nation or the world. Why act like he doing something & instead stay home and get a handle on some practical problems [ie gas prices!]. Please Mr President, do something right before leaving office. The American people deserve it after all that Bush has destroyed.

He would have already invaded Iran, if he wasn't so busy helping with the wedding.
