Lol, getting pretty defensive there, i didn't assume a thing about you...unlike what you did to me. Want to keep that name , good for you. I'm a not in support of all the stupidity of name changes, logo changes etc.
Not getting defensive. That part of my post wasn't directed at you, but to the CD community in general. If anyone is offended by my CD moniker, they can put on ignore.

You consistently make yourself look irrelevant. If the Confederacy and Slavery still existed, you'd have a point. But since it ended 155 YEARS ago, and we've also put in place laws and policy to address all past wrongs, your statement is ridiculous and purely meant to give you some type of weird personal satisfaction to make you feel better about yourself. Stop feeling so guilty. I don't think you're as racist as you think.
Agreed. Should we hold the modern day German population responsible for something that ended a mere 75 years ago IF we're going to hold the South responsible for what happened more than 155 years ago?
I'm thinking that most people would answer the first part of that question with a resounding "no."

Don't modern day Germans pay reparations for Jewish people? People still hold them responsible and accountable for the Holocaust and WWII.

Well, anyone who is a fan abbreviated the name to "The Chicks" a few decades ago. NBD.
I'd stand behind Natalie Maines regarding her comment about Bush and her right to say it. I was a half-assed fan of Toby Keith until he went all uber-patriotic anti-First Amendment bullet-head about it. The Chicks made good music after the debacle. Their life, their choice.
Their leftist antics relegated them to Nashville’s trash heap back during the Bush years. They are still leftist trash and their music was at best mediocre.

I certainly don't get the impression that people still hold Germany accountable for the Holocaust and WWII -- not that I'm suggesting they should. I never read/hear the same kind of hostility, condescension, or invective directed at Germany because of its history that's often directed at the South. I don't hear anyone call Germans/Americans of German ancestry names because of the Holocaust.
Germany doesn't obliterate its history (any history that remained intact after WWII, that is), and why would/should it? Germany's history provides excellent educational insights, and the German population shouldn't be denied its history because of actions its government took 75+ years ago.
FWIW, I'm a liberal from the north and my parents are European immigrants.
I suggest they change their name to "Lady Irrelevant" or "The Woke Folks".
