Lots and lots of others, but you get the point.

Times change, and so do old band names. Nothing new here, folks.
Except for those who want to keep the confederacy alive in their own small, narrow minds.

But you sound like a guy who doesn't believe sexism and misogyny exist. They do. Both are alive and well. As a former public servant, I bet you as a man would never receive the same kind of treatment that my former female colleagues and I often received.

It's one of the main reasons why the Dixie Chicks got the treatment they did after Natalie Maines made her comment.
Lol, you know nothing about me. Assume what you want though, it matters little. Also, isn't assuming ones gender a social faux pas now ?
When will you be changing your screen name ? Apparently the word Dixie has racist connotations...you've already had to deal with sexism and misogyny, don't need to add racism to that list, do you ?

LOL, you know nothing about me. Assume what you want, but it matters little what you think offends me or what you think my political opinions are about anything. Dixie is a fine name, and I'm keeping it. Don't like it? put me on ignore.

You can't put me into any box, I'll tell you that much.

There was nothing wrong with the name Dixie Chicks.

They're irrelevant and trying to pander and gain attention and relevancy.

And you don't get the point, too.

The above bands did not change their name to be politically correct; the Ditsy Chicks did.

Did they succumb to social pressure for potential offence caused by the words Nitty Gritty, Little, Jefferson or Airplane?

So you can't even MENTION the South without being inherently racist?

Isn't that in itself being culturally discriminatory against the South?

Over something that a bunch of dead people did over 150 years ago.....
