Where do they play? At shopping malls? Holiday Inns?
They are having a concert in Tulsa at the BOK center and there will be thousands of unmasked fans sitting shoulder to shoulder. It's called CovidFest Live!
Oh, forgot, it's unsafe to have large indoor events, so they delayed their 2020 concerts. CovidFest Live in Tulsa was held last weekend by a different entertainer. One that doesn't care about fans getting Covid. I bet the Chicks won't have a bunch of empty blue seats once they are ready to play. They'll wait until it's safe to have a large indoor event, unlike that other entertainer that held CovidFest Live in Tulsa last weekend. Their next tour is supposed to be an Arena tour. Much larger venue than the BOK center in Tulsa.
This is just getting stupid. What's racist about 'Dixie'?
Dixie is strongly associated with the secessionist states that fought to maintain slavery and later followed practices such as segregation and peonage. Ergo it's linked to cultural racism.
So I want to see if I understand this correctly: they want to disassociate themselves from the South because the police killed a black dude in the northern-most state in the continental U.S. Am I missing something here on the way from A to Z?
This is about correct.
More and more words will be added to the ban list as it plays out.
My husband and I love their music. We did, however, think Natalie Mains was stupid for the remark that pretty much got them banished from country music years ago.
This world has just gone crazy.....
