Why do you think COVID-19 is such a likely fatal illness? Ebola has a far higher death rate.

Many mask wearers don't wear masks everywhere there are people, including me. I didn't wear a mask today while visiting a family member and his friend.

Speaking of science and to a latter extent, lockdowns. I think this exterpt from that article might be worth to share. https://www.city-journal.org/lockdow...h-than-science

Which strategy would you try first? If you chose the vitamin D, you have no future in the public-health establishment. While a few researchers are touting the vitamin’s potential and advocating government programs to distribute the supplements during the pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control can’t bring itself even to suggest that people take the pills on their own. In its Covid-19 guidelines, the CDC declares that “there are insufficient data to recommend either for or against the use of vitamin D.”

Somehow, though, the “insufficient data” problem disappeared when it came to lockdowns and mask mandates. Before the pandemic, the official expert consensus was against those measures, but the consensus was promptly discarded in the hope that these sacrifices might help. The evidence since then could easily be called insufficient, given the lack of randomized studies and the inconvenient data showing that places with lockdowns didn’t fare any better than the places without strict measures. And given what has emerged about the minuscule rate of transmission in outdoor settings, you could certainly say there’s insufficient evidence to order people to stay inside their homes or to mandate masks outdoors.

Ha, I read the article. But what if there were no restrictions at all or no mask wear in public required in my town? Things would only be worse to an even more frightful extent. On Christmas Day at the covid ward at my local hospital it was full with two people in the ER waiting for beds to become available. It's become an old story. If hospitals are less busy where there are few, in any restrictions with no mask wear required, let's hear about it.

It has begun, to get rid of the mask on your face, they want you to risk this happening to your face! Masks don't work: https://thefederalistpapers.org/us/r...tes-submission and the vaccine will give some a new kind of mask!

"...why the heck do doctors and nurses wear masks?"
Well with the present day they are probably ordered to but long ago they wore them to keep from getting YOUR germs into their bodies. My family doctor has never worn a mask to treat me even when I had respiratory illness. Before Corona when I went to hospital I never saw anyone in my presence wear a mask. I'm sure after I was knocked out and when they operated on me they probably did, but no, doctors and nurses didn't typically wear masks when I have been receiving treatment. They wear them to keep from getting sick from YOU. If you want to wear an N95 all day every day more power to you.
