How do you know? We don't even know if there are any actual sources at all.

Powell Jobs owns a 70% stake in The Atlantic, and she reportedly communicates often with its editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg.
Why would a network that worships the guy like Fox news confirm the story?
There are many Republicans who do not like Trump. Fox news hosts have criticised Trump numerous times, and most of their hosts did not support him during the 2016 Republican primaries, they backed other candidates.
There's a segment in the GOP that do not like Trump, some even more extreme - like Romney, Lincoln Project, and others - want to see Biden win the election. Trump is volatile, too off the cuff for their tastes.
