Indeed, whether or not it was engineered is kind of irrelevant even with regard to blaming, after all various countries manipulate viruses for military and other purposes.
The relevant question would be: was the virus set free deliberately or not?
For all those posters who regurgitated the talking points about how the Wuhan lab being responsible, were "debunked", did you realize at the time that "the investigators" had culpability and a financial interest/responsibility?

After just listening to Fauci it seems his hands are dirty on some level. If it turns out the NIH knew about the virus escaping and either covered it up or tried to run interference to hide their own complicity, he should pay a price.
It is in many instances the coverup that brings the powerful down.
That and hubris which will hopefully get Coumo.
