Because it's not in their best interests to do so.
Confirming that the virus was engineered in the lab, would result in two things:
-- less funding for gain of function research, which = fewer jobs for those scientists.
-- far more stringent safety/operating procedures, which would make those scientists' lives very difficult.

He can’t provide anything. He keeps peddling the same conspiracy garbage with no evidence to back it up.
I'm sure China is or has genetically engineered viruses but we already have evidence this virus is of natural origins and not engineered. Additionally the Chinese virologist Yan's paper has been thoroughly debunked.
