so you know better than a chinese virologist who has absolutely nothing to lose by exposing the treachery of the chinese communist party. Lol. What a rube.
Here's what your 2 Chinese scientists and one westerner say:
"...Some people have alleged that the human SARS-CoV-2 was leaked directly from a laboratory in Wuhan where a bat CoV (RaTG13) was recently reported, which shared ∼96% homology with the SARS-CoV-2 [4]. However, as we know, the human SARS-CoV and intermediate host palm civet SARS-like CoV shared 99.8% homology, with a total of 202 single-nucleotide (nt) variations (SNVs) identified across the genome [6]. Given that there are greater than 1,100 nt differences between the human SARS-CoV-2 and the bat RaTG13-CoV [4], which are distributed throughout the genome in a naturally occurring pattern following the evolutionary characteristics typical of CoVs, it is highly unlikely that RaTG13 CoV is the immediate source of SARS-CoV-2. The absence of a logical targeted pattern in the new viral sequences and a close relative in a wildlife species (bats) are the most revealing signs that SARS-CoV-2 evolved by natural evolution...."
So in other words, since it doesn't directly match the bat virus, it can't be manmade. Its a mix of bat, pangonlin and HIV viruses that must have evolved naturally. Notwithstanding that they admit the lab was altering the viruses they were studying.
Trump was one of the ones who started the story in April. He not only claimed it was a bioweapon but that it came from a military bioweapons lab, both of which are false and repeated in Li-Men Yan's paper.
Nature is the magazine that's been cited as publishing articles by scientists with funding by the Chinese government. It published a number of articles espousing the natural origin of the virus. People generally don't cite the articles much anymore.
If it infects people and doesn't make them sick, it's not an effective bioweapon. This was already noted by the CIA early in the pandemic. They saw that the US governments and the public were screwing this up. They didn't ramp up supplies and testing, and many in the public were panicking or resisting the public safety guidelines.
It's an extremely destructive tool. Look at what societies have allowed to be done to their economies because of it. It was used to destroy society as it was known.

And they say that with a straight face.
How much do you get paid for posting this stuff?
Looks like reading is not your strong suit, Those 2 Chinese scientists actually work in the US at Ohio State and Chapel Hill. The conclusions of this study and a dozens of other studies around the world show no evidence the virus was engineered. If you claim it was engineered where is your evidence?
Try reading the rest of the study:
Evolution is stepwise and accrues mutations gradually over time, whereas synthetic constructs would typically use a known backbone and introduce logical or targeted changes instead of the randomly occurring mutations that are present in naturally isolated viruses such as bat CoV RaTG13. In our view, there is currently no credible evidence to support the claim that SARS-CoV-2 originated from a laboratory-engineered CoV. It is more likely that SARS-CoV-2 is a recombinant CoV generated in nature between a bat CoV and another coronavirus in an intermediate animal host.

People who spread rumors and lies in the US are the destructive tools. They did it to themselves. They created panic and distrust. There were already long-standing plans to deal with pandemics and they tried to start from scratch.
Reference to a peer reviewed publication please. I'll wait.
I guess I will have to explain it in more detail so you are capable of understanding.
He says his two studies say it isn't and that "proves it." I know of someone who is studying it who says it is. That person doesn't "prove" that it is manmade. But two papers when there are dissenting opinions don't prove anything either.
As for the second paper, you should read it. Its drivel (after reading that I didn't bother with the first). It was obviously a Chinese propaganda piece put out in February to try to stifle rumors. It very oddly focuses on the rumors. Absolutely no science to it. Its all speculation and opinion with, at least in the summary, no proof that the opinion is based on fact. It talks about the insertions of non-bat material being random, with no explanation or math showing why it is random. And that is an opinion that a manmade virus would be targeted and not random. Its like something you would read on the social sciences and education, who are Phds who can't do math.

The two studies (which are just 2 of many DOZENS) show there is no evidence it was man made. If it was man made where is the evidence of additional genetic material in its genome? This is the evidence we need to show it is engineered. Where is this evidence? Show us!!!
