How much does a German pay for healthcare?
The government health insurance scheme is administered by 108 Krankenkassen and they charge the same basic rate of 14.6 % plus a possible average supplemental rate of 1.1 % of your eligible gross salary with a cap set at a maximum monthly income of 4,688 Euros (2020 figures).

What happens if you don't have health insurance in Germany?
The treatment would be paid for by your last Krankenkasse (or the local AOK if you were never in the system). Yet, you owe the full amount of health insurance premiums, plus 1% interest per month, and you won't be able to get back into normal care unless you pay them off in full or declare bankruptcy.

Here....I've added Switzerland for you:

What happens if you don't have health insurance in Switzerland?
If you fail to insure yourself within three months, the canton will chose a provider for you and you will be sent a premium bill by the provider. Cover and premiums are backdated to the beginning of your residence.
The point being that government isn't necessarily involved in running the health insurance schemes. Private-enterprise ingenuity is quite welcomed.

"Bigger better and cheaper than Obamacare- believe me, you'll see".

His plan is simple: Wait out the sick and they'll eventually stop complaining when they die. Just like his Coronavirus plan.

She’s a retired California public safety employee who lives in Idaho.

I don’t know if she’s 65 yet, but it doesn’t matter. She’ll never have to worry about not having her healthcare covered.

I always knew that Obamacare would serve as a gateway to calls for universal care. Nothing is ever good enough and some people simply won’t be happy until they have gov’t services wiping their butt for them.
