Some of the recipients of this government largesse didn’t know how to budget before, and they still don’t despite ANY government help that they might receive. Look at the Austin couple in the middle of the article.
In mid-pandemic, their monthly food bill is nearly $2,600!!!, and they have a roommate. Between all of their $600 unemployment stimulus plus Unemployment, they appear to be STILL STRUGGLING. Government likes to support bums like this and people in general who pay zero or very little federal income tax due to credits that they generously receive from our crooked tax system.

First of all, I don't see how ANYONE could have a $2600 a month food bill... I agree there's no excuse for that!
But, because you're angry that these ^^^ people who are still struggling and the "because the tax system is crooked",...
you believe that the countless Americans that have found themselves in food lines (for the first time in their lives) don't deserve help..???
This year has been an extraordinary time in our country - and worldwide.
I don't understand how anyone could not feel compassion for their fellow citizens at the end of this year.

See many of those voting on stimulus checks looking as if they're missing many meals?
Kind of like why shovel trillions to the stock market like we have been when many of the rich have millions in their accounts.
Sure does not look like they need it. Right??
$600..pathetic. But according to the politicians that should last us about a year anyway. God they're so out of touch. This nation is in dire need of serious relief yesterday. That they are playing politics while millions teeter on the brink of homelessness is sickening.

Keeping people in desperation since May, when they said people would get more help, but haven't, is a big symptom of a broken, dysfunctional congress. Pathetic.
and,... what have they been doing for the last month knowing that the government had to be funded???
That's the whole idea... if you don't need it - pass it on - get it out into the economy.
I hope you followed up and will get the next check.
Better yet, give it back to the productive people who were extorted into paying federal income taxes taxes to begin with?
