Well, this couldn't really have turned out any better, considering.
The terrorist bomber was a lone wolf, and he killed himself. No long, drawn out investigation, no long, drawn out trial, and no taxpayer money spent to pay for his 30-year jail sentence.

How do you know he killed himself? True he is likely dead and likely did it, but there is no proof.

Also, he was not registered to vote in TN and no record that he ever was. So probably not even political.
Just like some of us questioned, they are saying it was suicide. It sounds like he may have been miserable after his brother died. His neighbor said he was very kind to his pets, even building ramps for the older one. It's more than clear that he didn't want to hurt anybody. So why downtown? He built events such as haunted houses and so on. Did he built anything for the surrounding businesses? Maybe he wasn't after AT&T after all. He planned a nice little exit, perhaps his last venue (in his mind). It's all rather sad, but perhaps not as dubious as first thought. Guess we shall see, maybe.

Why did he disguise his voice if he knew he was going to die anyway?

He was an IT guy. Probably created the message beforehand with a computer generated voice, then might have sedated or even killed himself prior to the explosion, in the RV.
I am now wondering whether the location perhaps had a personal significance for him, like somewhere he had a great memory with or something. Because there were many retail/bar/restaurant locations right there beside the AT&T building.
