Us grumpy old men just have to get used to it. I've never considered myself in any way a racist. The way I see it, it's much more a function of the generation gap in all walks of life than it is racism. I guess, if I had been an old person during the civil rights movement, I might be saying the same thing, instead of participating in it.
Super Bowl viewership is on a general decline since 2015.
The increased viewership was only because of Brady.

I play and watch golf. So far this nonsense hasn't infiltrated that sport yet.
Ok I just watched the National Anthem and I have to say. No one should be upset by Lift Every Voice and sing after that train wreck of a performance. Besides that why is it even a deal that Black Americans have a song that they relate too?
I haven't watched any pro team ball sports for 15 years now. Ain't one bit sorry I missed this last super bowl. My son and I are into competitive shooting. Watching inane stuff like football cuts into good practice time. Doesn't surprise me the bowl led in with the Black national anthem. And I really don't see how it is Black groups somehow think they're so special. LOTS of people of all color skin have a lineage that has slavery in it. Yesssss, White people too.
And there are LOTS of countries that still practice blatant segregation. See any Black folks in Russia lately? See any Blacks, Hispanics, non Russian Asians or American Indians in the Russian military? No. And you never will either. If an American Black who is an avowed communist wanted to integrate to Russia and join their military they would probably let him or her. But the job they would be given won't pass for glorious. Probably scrubbing toilets and floors and serving tea and vodka to some middle rank company commander stationed in Siberia.
Black "activist" types just love to whine and cry about how horrible the US is. If one is Black they just can't catch a break. There's white sheets and hood behind every corner. These activist groups are the ones pushing segregation. Hate to tell them but the Klan is a nothing these days, as are all other White supremacist groups. They're a bunch of Budweiser swilling ignorant spodes hiding in the back country wearing pieced together "uniforms" and jerking off to pictures of Hitler.
In American history how are Blacks any worse off than the Chinese were? OK, so Chinese folks immigrated here by choice, but once they landed they were treated like slaves. The only difference is their new owners didn't have to pay shipping costs. Yet today the Chinese have advanced to positions of great wealth and power. Both legally and illegally. Compared to the Chinese Triads Black crime groups are Neanderthals. Chinese businesses thrive and expand. It's the same with Hispanics, East Indians, Middle Easterners.
Now American Indians on certain reservation are not doing so well. If Blacks think they have it so rough they should visit the Rez. They don't all operate huge casinos and rake in bank. Truthfully a White person would have a better chance driving through Harlem flying a Klan banner than driving through certain parts of the Rez I live close to after dark with a mask on. That goes for ANY non Indian. There's even signs up saying "Non Indians do not go further." Official signs mind you ,put up by the Tribal Council. A few years back a Black guy was lured by three Indian guy out to such and area from a bar in town by the promise of a "good time." Which turned out to as him being stabbed 37 times, his throat cut from ear to ear, and scalped.
So I have to wonder, why all this fawning and pandering to Black people as deserving of special treatment by American society as a whole? Black history month, Black nationalist anthem, Black lives matter, this black square up everywhere for "Black support" on and on. There's a lot of not Black folks out here way worse off. I'll stop seeing skin color as soon as it quits being pointed at and expounded on.

Blacks are the second largest minority group in America, after Hispanics. Hispanics are often pandered to with rhetoric about lax immigration laws and enforcement, which won't work on blacks beyond the hope that it will further marginalize whites. This sort of "evil racist whitey" pandering doesn't work as well on Hispanics because Hispanics don't have a built in historical and cultural animosity towards whites and often get along just fine with them, so it makes sense to market this sort of pandering towards blacks...and self hating whites, who may actually be the primary target of all of it really. It's more of a fight between two factions of whites and blacks are kind of trapped in the middle.
