How does importing millions of uneducated, illiterate, unemployed people who do not speak English to the US make us a "better country"?
If these individuals are the key to a nation's prosperity, why does Guatemala, Mexico and Nicaragua not have a higher standard of living and greater GDP per capita than the US?
What are the chances of such people gaining employment in an economy that increasingly demands higher levels of technical education and degrees for employment?
Why are walls and fences required to "protect" our Capitol Building, but not the border?
The interesting thing about this thread is that you pretty much have the leftists admitting that they want open borders. They used to deny it.
Again, no American wants to work menial labor. No one wants to work at taco bell or the car wash. They aspire to be much more and shame on us if we don't instill that value in them.
This isn't true. It may be true within your social circle, but your circle is not the country as a whole. I live in a place that doesn't have many immigrants, yet the Taco Bells and car washes all seem to be staffed.

Simple answer is they do nothing but are extra votes for dems in future elections.
If some say they are escaping tough times..murderers, rapists, cartel, etc, and then if they are not screening these people at border and everyone comes in, then these murderers, rapists and cartel are coming in also.

There is a legal process where almost anyone has the chance to move up here. But you need to pass a background check. No one with a clean background is going to bypass that route and sneak into the country.
