After this failed administration is finished destroying America, I believe taxes will be through the roof. The US will be slid off a ledge into full blown socialism and there's no turning back.

They are canceling student debt for deadbeats that signed the line but are financially irresponsible. Who do you think will pay for this ?

Apparently, all the locations around the world to Renounce citizenship are booked full.

Who here would do it if it came to it?

Elaborate on what? It was a yes/no question: "Would you renounce your US citizenship?"

No, I wouldn't. Period.

I rather doubt the average City-Data poster would have the resources and wherewithall to gain entry and citizenship to a foreign country - so - rather hypothetical.

Not convinced of your factual assertion that we are going to see an increase in the percentage of people choosing to renounce.

lol nice one. I mean, you could get one through ancestry. I am currently receiving my Karta Polaka , just waiting to reach Polish language level B2 to get to my interview.

Gives me full permanent residency there, health, school and etc.... I also want to start a company out there.

No. I still believe in this country. Maybe I'm being naive, but I'm still optimistic that the sheer lunacy of the left will pass. The current situation isn't sustainable. Eventually, people will realize how stunningly stupid Dems are and vote them out of office. They've done some serious damage already, but if we turn it around in the next election cycle, I think recovery is possible.

It's been on the rise because the IRS are now actually enforcing an age-old law on the books - the one about US taxpayers having to file US taxes if they live abroad. For a long time, most people didn't bother unless they had serious economic assets. Not so much to evade, just because it's a hassle. Nothing is set up for it. People with dual citizenship decided to make their lives easier.
