The data is there, its rising...once the taxes go up. I expect more. The US is a declining country.. Theres plenty of countries in Asia and Europe with way better standards of living than here. What about if and when the US dollar is out the door ? This is not a matter of if but when

I was just thinking about that the other day. I am thinking of retiring in Europe and I don't know what good it will be to hang on to US citizenship if I have to continue paying taxes from overseas.

Ok, so it's primarily people already living abroad that we're talking about then.

I was referring more to not seeing an increase in the "I'm leaving the country if X politician is/is not elected" types.

Such an elitist comment. So narrow-minded of you.

You should be thankful that you were able to move to a foreign country. Why are you in this thread? You aren't a US citizen.

Some can. What would the percentage be, though? 5%?

I am currently receiving my Karta Polaka , just waiting to reach Polish language level B2 to get to my interview.

Gives me full permanent residency there, health, school and etc.... I also want to start a company out there.
Permanent move to Poland, then? Good on you, if that's what you want, but it's a bit weird to try and escape "socialism" by moving to a country with government-funded schooling, universal healthcare etc.

Great response

As for me, I wouldn't renounce my US citizenship.

Apparently, all the locations around the world to Renounce citizenship are booked full.

Who here would do it if it came to it?

The Biden Administration IS destroying America and its values, but I am hopeful that Executive Orders, Bills, Resolutions, etc. will be tied up in courts so they don't come to fruition, when hopefully an intelligent administration that understands cause and effect, will win in 2024.

This Administration is chock full of hypocrites only fulfilling their wishes and dreams. Like a child running loose in a Toy Store.

I'm not going to consider renouncing my citizenship, my fear is a takeover by China and Russia. This country has been so divided for the past four years, intentionally, I might add, that it is what our enemies have been waiting for: divide and conquer, and the morons in DC are so wrapped up in their racism, cancel culture, Woke, rewriting the dictionary and personal agendas they don't see the real enemies.

What is the other foreign country?

I'm guessing that when the going here gets tough, you will leave, correct?
