Well, this along with the other things, seems there is plenty of leverage to get a new trial. This new trial there is a chance he gets found not guilty on the murder 2 charge, which I thought was a stretch in the first place.
Come on, let's be honest here...this isn't going to ultimately change the trial outcome but let's not pretend that he didn't lie on his questionaire. His other comments and choice of shirt were pretty clear.
Regardless, Maxine Greene (I think that last name fits her better) probably already triggered a mistrial by threatening violence.
Oh, I suspect he lied on his questionnaire, too. Can I prove he did? No, and I'm betting that's a high bar for the defense, as well. We shall see.
Either way, Chauvin is guilty and will be found guilty again should it come to that.

It probably won't. If he'd been judged guilty without the violent theatrics by blm antifa and those like Maxine then it's likely that the vast majority would sit back and agree that Chauvin got what he deserved, without comment.
While Chauvin did deserve to be found guilty, this has surpassed Floyd and Chauvin and it's now about the justice system. Threats, intimidations and terrorism by the mob and their leaders most likely rules the justice system now and it would seem that many on the left love it. This will probably not be the last court case that the mob drives to the decision that they want.
Those two questions on the questionaire would just about keep any black person off of a jury. Its like asking white people do you watch Fox news or know who Rush Limbaugh is.

Derek Chauvin waived his right to have a jury decide re: his sentencing. Right now, Judge Peter Cahill will now make that decision, i.e. he will decide whether or not there are aggravating factors.
I suppose Derek Chauvin could waive his right to have a jury trial, if there is to be a new trial.
