Interesting…..WaPo …what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive

WaPo top fact-checker explains how the 'lab-leak theory suddenly became credible' after discrediting it for a year

Washington Post resident fact-checker Glenn Kessler wrote a handy timeline to explain "How the Wuhan lab-leak theory suddenly became credible." He writes "in recent months the idea that it emerged from the Wuhan Institute of Virology—once dismissed as a ridiculous conspiracy theory—has gained new credence."

Wow, I am surprised . . . the WaPo actually has fact checkers??!!

Btw, the above link has a lot of supposition that is NOT supported by direct quotes, such as the article's assertion that Kessler (the fact checker) "was one of those who purported the lab leak idea to be a ridiculous conspiracy theory as part of his ongoing effort to discredit anything and everything having to do with President Trump and his administration." (The italicized was a quote from the linked article and NOT from Kessler.)

Anytime I hear or read the term "fact-checker," I laugh. That is code for "propagandist."

The "fact checking" websites are the absolute LAST place I would go for the truth. I wonder who fact checks the fact checkers? And who would fact check the fact check checkers? What a joke.

It's almost quaint how news groups like the Washington Post and NY Times abruptly decide to change their tune and declare with all sincerity that the lab leak theory is credible. As if, one year ago, they weren't belittling conservatives, Donald Trump, independents, and all other non-brainwashed individuals who were concerned about the research at the virus lab in Wuhan and questioning the World Health Organization's motives for covering up facts/withholding all relevant information.

It seems like these news groups attempt to force the world into fitting a specific narrative, rather than investigating stories using critical thinking skills--looking at the issue from several perspectives without bias--and then reporting the results without bias. Journalists used to have more integrity and skepticism. Now their puff stories resemble Soviet-style propaganda. No transparency. Evidently they are not allowed to print accurate stories without the Liberal State's permission.

Well he said it was true ... so that makes it true.

Isn't that the standard now? MSM says something and the lemmings and sheep believe them?

He has that wrong. Both the animal source and lab leak theory have been unable to find a copy of the virus that matches the SARS-COVID-19 virus. Even if they find an exact match in nature, it is not absolute proof of natural origin since it could've been passed from human to animal. WaPo has been pushing the lab leak theory for a long time.

The only reason the media is being flooded with the lab leak stories is that the WHO completed a preliminary report which was inconclusive.

The WaPo and the rest of the media know that they are unable to hide the lie any longer. Same with Fauci. Give it another week tops and the lab leak will be the definite reason it happened.

When looking up 'Nicholas Wade former science editor NY Times', I found this short article in NewsWars:

https://www.newswars.com/former-ny-t...id-lab-origin/

I had never heard of NewsWars, but it was refreshing to read that Wade said the NY Times dismissed the lab leak theory because it was something Trump promoted, and the liberal media here in the U.S. pushes China's propaganda.

Glenn Kessler of WashPost did the damage control spin against Senator Ted Cruz last year, according to the article. It makes a person wonder if journalists even read '1984' or watch movies like 'The Matrix.' They have been peddling lies to deliberately reduce/remove Americans' freedoms.

Sorry I can't rep you AGAIN. It used to be that journalists led the way in fighting lies and corruption, but now it seems that they are among the worst offenders and some of the most corrupt (generally speaking, of course).

A "fact checker" that flip flops with the current mindset ????

I guess it's all part and parcel of living in "bizarro world".
