You would never know it by the accolades so many seem to give it. And yes, my comment was tongue in cheek. I wished for Americans that they could find a path forward that all were covered under a universal healthcare plan, and that however it was decided to fund that, whether through taxes or premiums, that it actually be affordable.

Good luck, as I don't see that happening anytime soon.

It will never happen. We are fortunate because my husband belongs to a union that pays for our healthcare.

Yes, goods and services cost money. I know that's a novel concept for liberals like you, who expect the government to provide whatever you think you need.

America is too corrupt to run such a system. If you don't want to see that, it's because you choose not to.

That is why Ralph Nader wants Medicare For All with no private insurance companies allowed to participate in it. I sure wouldn't be opposed to it. However, I won't be shocked and surprised if Medicare For All actually comes about that private health insurance companies will be allowed in on it.

Not too corrupt but too big, too many moving parts and too much money for government to control it all. Canada is like 1 state for us.

But wouldn't you support switching to Medicare For All as long as private health insurance companies are allowed to participate in it?

In other words, you're quite happy with your own health care plan and don't see any point for major changes, such as switching to some form of Medicare For All?

Canada has 15 different health care systems which are run separately. Insurance is not in the control of one single big government monolith.

Five things most people get wrong about Canada’s healthcare system
